The CSI committee started an initiative called the winter drive. The purpose of the drive was to assist people within our communities during winter as well as to get the employees involved in the donating of clothes, sanitary towels, and non-perishable items.
Sovereign employees both in Kariega and Hartbeespoort generously donated; clothing for children and adults, boxes of sanitary towels, non-perishable foods and the CSI committee also donated non-perishable foods towards the drive. In addition, Agri in Kariega donated their biggest loser competition funds towards sanitary towels for the drive.
Kwalanga Victim Centre
The support centre helps the community of Langa Location by offering counselling and support to victims who have gone through traumatic experiences within their lives.
The NPO received a box of sanitary towels to distribute to different schools in Kwalanga.
African Catholic Church in Zion
The church ensures that the community of the KwaNobuhle area are provided with food once a week through their soup kitchen.
The NPO received boxes of clothes and food to distribute to community members around the Kwanobuhle area when busy with their soup kitchen.
7th Heaven Children’s Haven
The children’s haven was created to provide a Christian and loving home for children who have been orphaned, neglected, abused, or abandoned.
The NPO received boxes of clothes, food and sanitary towels for the children and young adults in their care.
Smart Ants Academy
The learning academy from KwaNobuhle Kariega, provide the kids from underprivileged backgrounds access to reading, help them with homework, school projects, and introduce them to arts and different activities.
The NPO received boxes of clothes, food and sanitary towels to provide to the children in their care.
