Supervisor: Push Out

Job Description:

Sovereign, a national supplier of quality chicken products to various markets with operations in five provinces, is seeking a thorough and committed individual for the position of Supervisor: Push Out for its Farm Services operations in the Agriculture division. The Supervisor: Push Out is responsible for hygienic cleaning and removal of chicken litter from Broiler & Breeder farms and driving the manure push out operations. This position reports to Drycleaning and Hygiene Manager and holds the TASK Grade T08. The ideal candidate must be in possession of a grade 12 certificate, a tertiary qualification in farming management or poultry production, a valid code 10 driver’s license with PDP and have at least one year’s supervisory experience.

Responsibilities:

• Implement no-conformance corrective actions.
• Communicate the availability and movement of manure.
• Ensure sufficient staff coverage.
• Ensure all manure is pushed out of house to required standard.
• Eliminate BRC contamination by ensuring that the machines are clean.
• Monitor and assess compliance with standards and ensure compliance with all safety requirements.
• Compile a preventative maintenance and service schedule for all Manure Pushing and Cleanup equipment.
• Adhere to daily production schedule.
