Job Description:

Sovereign, a national supplier of quality chicken products to various markets with operations in five provinces, is seeking a thorough and committed individual for the position of HR Manager based in the Gauteng Operations. The position will directly to the Regional Senior HR Manager. The position is required to manage HR and Industrial Relation processes, provide professional Human Resources services to the Commercial Division and Agriculture Division in Gauteng; and ensure compliance to employment practices in accordance with the Company's policies, procedures, and Labour legislation. The ideal candidate should have a relevant NQF Level 7 qualification a minimum of 3 years' experience as an HR Practitioner and experience in a unionised environment. Professional registration with a recognised HR standards body will be advantageous. This position carries the grade of T12.

Responsibilities:

    • Create and maintain a conducive IR environment
    • Talent management for the Division
    • Manage HR administration
    • Implement HR strategic interventions
    • Implement Skills Development and Succession Plans
    • Promote the Company’s BBBEE Scorecard
    • Conduct Performance and Productivity Management
    • Manage HR Information and Benchmarking
